Abstract

In 1907 EHRMANN described two types of livedo: a pathological, livedo racemosa, and a “physiological”, livedo reticularis. Both are caused by the reduction of the blood flow and lowered oxygen tensions. It´s important to make difference between these two kinds of livedo by their clinical presentation. Livedo racemosa is associated to systemic diseases as systemic scleroderma. Is the most common dermatologic manifestation in antiphospholipid syndrome. We report a case of a female patient presenting livedo racemosa associated to cutaneous scleroderma.
